Thank You Note from Karen Dame's you received a Thank You Note from Karen and Tom Stewart for the donation given to them from our #1 auction for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. They did the walk on 10-1-09 along with 5000 other walkers. It was held at Heinz Field and as they walked they carried lighted red balloons (the walk was at dusk), an impressive site. Karen and Tom's TEAM raised $2400 with several donations still coming in.
Please remember their son Mark in your prayers, as he is the reason they "walked the walk".

You Red Hatters are the GREATEST.......

Just received a Thank yo note for you Hi Dames'

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and just a note for those of you down south, it is cold up here, please send sun! You all received a thank you note today from Donnie Lane (Karen's grandson). He is the one who came up with the idea for them to walk in the lukemia/lymphoma walk and challenged them to raise I believe a $1000.00. He was very greatful to the Red Hat Dames' from their efforts. They still are making young gentlemen like Donnie, it is so good to see. Was up to camp yesterday, all is well. We were just there for a few minutes and the maintenance crew has really been working. Diane and Georgia are doing well. Take care and have a Merry Christmas.

Luv U

Sad News Word was received today of the death of Sherm Figert D395. Please keep Joyce in your prayers. No details were received at this time. For those who can not place Sherm, he was the "cool" gentleman that rode around in the mobile chair, he was a regular at most functions.

bad news Thank you for posting this, I have been checking around to see if anyone knew anything about Mary. I do not know her daughter Judy's last name, so I could not check it out. Mary has been here a long time and loved to play bingo.

Ideas for this coming year Hi Everyone,

Spring is just around the corner, so be thinking about the activities we would like to do for this year. We will try and have our organizational meeting in May sometime. My time will be a little limited this year in April and May, so we may have to meet in June. I have a graduation and working on selling house, so would appreciate you all thinking of new and different things to do. Some of the old things are fun and we can do a repeat, but new things keep us "very happy". You can e-mail me or post them on the web.
CoolLove you'all. Queen Mum
